Description

MAINFRAME ONE is a fast-paced action-platformer inspired by the NES Classics Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man. Speed, agility and weaponry are the main focus in this throwback pumped full of tight gameplay, hyper-responsive controls and eye-popping visuals inspired by the greatest pop-culture films of our time.

History

This originally started its life as a simple 2-button action game for mobile but quickly grew in scope as I worked on the title over time. I began by creating custom per-object physics and collision detection to further increase fidelity and ease of peripheral input for PCs and eventually consoles. The game quickly grew beyond just a mobile game and I began the process of refactoring code to better fit more robust hardware to take advantage of its strength.

Features

  • Old School Action-Platformer Gameplay Turned to 11
  • Non-linear Level Progression
  • Weapon Power Up System
  • Speed Run and Boss Rush Modes
  • Numerous Character Cameos
  • Hidden Areas, Challenges, Easter Eggs and Unlockables
